How animals are not getting good conditions as they are supposed to?

Animals are one of our companions on the planet. There are many animals that we think are lovable, like dogs and cats, and also there are animals that have an important commercial use to us, like cows, buffaloes, goats, sheep, poultry; and also there are animals that even when we dream of them—we are terrified, like lions, tigers, sharks, wolves, bears, angry elephants, and large underwater animals.

When we look at the diversity of animals, we be like, “Wow! What a rich diversity of life exists on our planet!” It is true because animals of all shapes and sizes exist, in the oceans and on land too.

But sadly, our “Wows” for the animals are limited. There are many hypocrites that only are animal lovers by name. In fact, people literally kill animals just for fun. Isn’t that crazy! They take the life of hundreds of helpless and voiceless animals just for fun.

In the wild, hunting of animals for their products like their skin is a huge problem that exists. Tigers were killed to obtain their skin for making things like carpets to “decorate” their homes. Tiger hunting rose to such a high level that now in India, only about 3,000 tigers exist in the wild which too are not safe completely from hunters and poachers and illegal hunting. This is a huge sign of human cruelty over animals.

Human cruelty over animals not only is on the wild animals like the tiger, but also to the stray animals that live in their streets. Stray dogs, cats, and cows don’t get enough care after their owner leaves them. No matter how cruel you are, if you see a hungry stray dog on the street just begging for food from people, your heart will automatically melt on seeing its condition.

But there are some people who have realized the situation of the animals and have done their bit in the protection of these helpless animals. Many organisations, collect donations from people from all over the world in order to provide better living conditions to these animals. And organizations like these should be greatly encouraged.

However, there are people who donate hundreds, or thousands or even millions of dollars to animal-conservative organizations, but are huge hypocrites. A hypocrite is the other word for a pretender. They say like, “I am an animal lover, you know! I have donated thousands of dollars to different organizations that protect these animals.” These are especially the rich people because the poor can’t afford much to do much of a donation to such organizations. But these people have articles that are made up of these animals’ products, like their leather. They have coats made out of bear fur. They also brag about this and say, “You see, this coat that I am wearing is made up of pure polar bear fur. This purse is made up of pure leather. Pretty costly, you know.”

They say that they are animal lovers and use animal products obtained after killing those animals. And moreover, they are bragging about these articles that they use. It clearly shows that whatever they are doing, they are doing it to gain fame and publicity and show-off that how rich they are. So never be like those hypocrites that just pretend to be an animal lover, just to gain publicity. They don’t care about the lives of animals from their within.

Domestic animals, which have commercial uses to us, are also not treated properly in many homes. You might have seen many people who don’t take their cattle for a walk, and also keep them in a very dirty and a very congested place. These cattle provide them with milk that allows them to earn money, but they only provide food to the cattle, no walk and no proper living conditions.

Why is this the case? Well because it is cheaper to do this than to do the other way round. People try to cut costs to save more money but it mostly results in the worsening of the health of the animal.

If you love animals, they will love you as much. They will never betray you. So why bother making their lives easier when it doesn’t affect our lives in any way? Animals contribute to the diversity, and many have already been extinct, so we need to protect the ones that are left.
