Good laziness?

In the previous article, I talked about importance of being focused and a good learner. Sometime earlier, I also told that balancing yourself and your recreation is very important.

Our brain is much, much better and more capable than the most powerful computer in the world. 80% of the Glucose that our body intakes is utilized by our brain. This is because brain is one of the most important organs of our body and controls all our life functions; be it respiration, digestion, excretion, or any other important activity our body does to carry out our life functions and keep ourselves alive. The brain gives out signals to all parts of our body and it is these instructions of our brain that keep us going and our body parts functioning. Without the brain, our body would just be a matter of muscle and bone, not able to do anything to be called alive.

Since our brain is such an important part of our body, it makes sense that we must train it so that it can make us the best that we can be. Our brain already does so many things for us, but still, these things aren’t adequate for thriving in this world. We have to learn and master a lot of things to be called fit for living in this world. Whether you are a student, or any other professional, learning to train your brain is very important otherwise you would be in trouble. Our brain must learn things that are of the academic context, but also for extra-curricular contexts.

We humans have a distinctive trait—laziness! What? Laziness? How can it be so? This would shock many people, but read ahead to find out why. Well, it is this laziness of humans that has let us progress ahead. Now you would ask me how is it possible to be lazy and yet progress. Aren’t being lazy and being progressive entirely opposite? Well, let’s start from the very beginning of human history—the prehistoric times to understand this properly. We humans invented the wheel, discovered fire, and also found out substances that we can eat for living in that era. When our ancestors had to transport their goods, no matter how heavy they were, the people used to carry it in their hands wherever they went. To ease this process, they invented animal-driven sledges. Now the animals that humans tamed pulled the sledges, and the sledges had more room for the goods to be carried than an individual could have carried in one go. Humans got lazy and tired of lifting all of the stuff on their own and now this laziness turned out to be their boon and create something innovative and new for the ease of humanity.

However, there was still a problem, the legs of the sledges would get broken or worn out very often because of friction from the ground. Humans needed something better than sledges. One more problem was that the sledges were very slow. They needed something better than sledges. So, with some more laziness and some more innovation, the wheel was invented. This wheel was invented and now attached to the carts of the sledges, and were tied to animals. Now, it was easier to pull the cart for the animals and also the speed of the cart as a whole, was much faster than the regular sledge was. Now this bullock-cart has been transformed into cars, buses, motorcycles, and many other locomotives.

Now you might see how humanity’s laziness can create something more innovative. So now the question arises that is this laziness good? Well, as long as we use this laziness to our advantage to create something new and innovative, even laziness is good. But, just wasting your time being lazy would not help. In that case, laziness would be bad and useless.

So train your brain to create something innovative to appease the laziness that it has. Laziness is just your brain telling you that the process by which you are doing a certain task is very complicated for it to understand. So, you have to come up with a way that can help you to create something new and innovative to make that hard task easy for you. So don’t be just be lazy, be lazy and innovative.
