Why time-management is important for anyone?

Time management is something that has a crucial role in our life. There is a property of time, we wait for the good times, but the time does not wait for us. It keeps going ahead, on its way. It will probably never stop.

Time-management is a skill that teaches us to make a schedule so that we can get the most done in the least amount of time. This skill is a part of discipline. Hence if a person is disciplined, then his time-management skills will be good, and if a person is indisciplined, then his time-management skills would not be good enough and he might get into trouble because of lack of time more often.

This skill is hard, but not impossible to achieve. You may find managing your 24 hours difficult at many times, and that’s absolutely fine because you need some help there to understand how to do so.

There is a famous saying, “Everything on the planet gets 86,400 seconds to spend every day.” Imagine, if you got 86,400 every day to spend. Not just rupees, imagine if you got $86,400 to spend every day, or 86,400 of your country’s currency every day. It indeed is a huge amount, isn’t it?

But you know what, we get 86,400 seconds every day to spend as we want. No restrictions, just do what you want. If you want to eat a cake, go eat a cake, if you want to go to your friend’s house to play with him/her, go and play; but, you should use only these 86,400 seconds that you get every day.

These 86,400 seconds are very big life-changers. They can lift someone up to reach the level of the billionaires or even become a trillionaire, but they can also drift someone down to reach the worst conditions that anyone has ever experienced. It all depends on how the person uses these 86,400 seconds every day.

Especially for us students, learning to manage these 24 hours, or our “86,400 seconds” every day is a very important skill that we need to learn. Students often have tens of interests and they spend their time in those, instead of what they are intended to. Singing, dancing, playing, and other hobbies are these interests, which are good—I would recommend someone to have hobbies, but if someone spends his entire time in hobbies, that cannot be acceptable, can it? Say you like playing video games, which is fine, but if you spend your entire time playing video games, then that can’t be considered something productive, right?

This is why we should learn how to spend our 24 hours every day properly. We should learn to spend these 24 hours wisely because we should ensure that we don’t waste a single second out of this. But the big question is that how—how to know where to spend our time and where not to?

Well, it is a question that nobody else can answer. It is only you who can answer this question. You know that playing video games is just a waste of time for you and still if you continue playing video games for long hours, just for fun then it is your mistake. The thing is that you know what is good and what is bad, what is a waste of time and what is a productive use of time, don’t you?

So you should also know that what can put your time to a good use and what can waste your time. I am not saying that only use your time to study or for informative purposes, your brain needs relaxation for a while because of all the work it does. Yeah, we need Entertainment also so that we can relax our brain.

Social Media, Video games, and all the other things that you enjoy are just for that purpose, which is to relax your mind. But if you use things like these all the time, then it cannot be considered productive, it can’t right? I’m talking about the normal students not the YouTubers and gamers around the world. Their job is to entertain people through playing games, and that’s what they are doing. They are known for that, but you are not known for playing games, are you? You are known to be a student, of a school, a college or a university. So if you do your job properly, which is to spend your more of your time in learning, and play games as a relaxation or a recreation, that is something that can be said correct.

Time management is here too. Like I said, anything and everything, is associated with time. Be it playing games, reading a book, talking with your parents or hanging out with your friends, you might or might not use money, but you always use your time when doing anything. And this is the reason that why learning to manage time becomes important to learn.

Your actions in the present decide what your conditions would be in the future. This is true if you are a student, or a professional. If you do your work properly in the present, then you are going to face fewer or no problems in the future. And it is you who decides what you do. So use your time properly instead of wasting it in distractions.
