Having a balanced approach

Writers and reporters all around the globe are people who make the people aware of the dos and don’ts of the world. They tell us what we must do in a situation, and also make us aware of the situations around us.

However, there is one important thing that anyone conveying information must have. The ability to have a balanced approach to not offend anyone. Not just writers and reporters, but all people. We must learn to have a balanced approach in our life too.

Just as we need a balanced diet to remain healthy, strong and immune to diseases, the same way we need balance in everything we do. Nature has its own ecological balance. If the population of the deer or the herbivores will increase, the population of the plants that they eat will decrease because the herbivores would eat them. If the herbivores eat off all the plants entirely, then many other processes like transpiration will not be able to take place, which would mean that it will rain less and if it rains less than the whole planet would face a lack of water, apart from the other important things that the plants provide like oxygen. So to balance everything out, nature has made carnivores, which help to maintain the ecological balance by eating the herbivores and keeping their population in control. They might not be aware of that, but it is the truth. Nature maintains its balance in this way. Humans unfortunately have not realized that the balance in the nature is important to consider. That’s why human activities like industrialisation have started to pose a huge impact on the natural ecological balance. We must admit that learning to be balanced is important in all regards.

For simpler understanding, let’s take a simple example. Let’s say you have been asked to research and write something about India. What most people do in their research is that either they would take the good side of India; which is India’s culture, languages, vesture, abundance, natural diversity, etc., or they would take the bad side, corruption, lack of certain facilities, etc. What they don’t understand is that when we write something, we must have a neutral point of view of saying our words, otherwise it may hurt or offend some people. Not just India, it is true for any other nation in the world, be it the USA, China, Spain, France, the UK, any other country, or any other topic. Some people either only take the good side of something or forget the bad side, and some other people only take the bad side of something and forget the good side, which must not be the case. To portray an accurate picture of a topic, we must have a neutral approach, i.e., we must talk about the good side and also the bad side of the topic so that work can be done to reduce the bad side and improve the good side.

This was in the natural world, but in the human world too you must maintain a balance, which is because the human world is basically the reincarnation of the natural world, with more opportunities and easier living style. But anyways, as I was saying, balance is important in the human world too. Say you work for 8 hours everyday continuously, then you should also relax and spend some time resting for the rest of the day. This will help you to balance your mental pressure and also help you to relax yourself. On the contrary if you only spend your time doing things that are not productive to your level, then you must know that your balance is again uneven. You must make your balance even by working hard and resolutely.

In Mathematics, when we imagine of an equation, then we imagine of a balance, a mechanical balance. Similarly, in real life too we must imagine of a balance in ourselves. We must not put more weight on one side and less weight on the other side. We must be equal to both sides of ourselves and we must both work and relax to balance ourselves.

Students, especially in the lockdown period, have become very much like the side of the balance of less work and more relaxation, when it must be equal work and equal relaxation. This is posing a huge impact on their performance, they are starting to become arrogant and imprudent. They do not want to listen to their elders and do their own thing, which is not to study and just waste time in other activities. This must be avoided, and as a student I would recommend to other students.
