Opportunities and privileges

 

We humans have the habit of looking for the privileges rather than looking for the opportunities that can make us experienced about something. Everyone gets opportunities in some regard but because they try to find the privileges in that thing they end up not getting experienced and becoming a better human being. So today let’s understand that how we can find and use these opportunities and privileges that are both given to us.

An opportunity is something that someone can do. An opportunity can be used to prove yourself and this opportunity can tell what are you able to do or what is your capability. Everyone has unique talents, and according to that they get opportunities for success. But it is up to that person to choose the opportunity or just look for privileges. We don’t like opportunities simply because they don’t have a high chance for us to succeed and we like privileges as we think that this is a reward for our work. To those people who think like this, I have a question for them. How can someone get a privilege if he/she does not look for an opportunity? It is impossible to find a privilege without an opportunity because first we need to do the efforts and then look for the rewards.

Nature has several examples that teach us this principle. As an example when we plant a sapling in the ground, then we first have to take care of that sapling for several months or years, after which only we get the benefits that the sapling after growing into a tree provides. Similarly, we first need to work on finding and using an opportunity, and then take the privileges as a result. Hence, we must take opportunities like this for the advancement of ourselves—we always must be ready to learn something new. This skill is vital because it helps someone succeed. This opportunity is given to us a lot of times in life, but we simply don’t use them because we don’t think that this might be useful. This way if we don’t take this opportunity then we are missing a lot of things that we can learn and expand our knowledge with.

There are many opportunities that you might find in your life that you can use to shape your career. But the thing is that most people aren’t aware of these opportunities or we tend to become careless about this chance and regret not taking this opportunity/chance later. It is extremely important to look at every opportunity to find how to use these opportunities in shaping our future. Hence we need to be extremely careful and always investigate our opportunities so that we can use them to become successful.

Someone should look for opportunities when we see that this opportunity can take us to where we want to go. So, first we need to look for more and more opportunities so that we can use it to move ourselves one step further. Privileges come next. We must look for more and more opportunities and when we look for these opportunities then we can always get privileges for those opportunities as a reward for our hard work. The frontline medical staff of the Government of Bihar as an example have been rewarded with 50,000 rupees as a reward for working tirelessly in this Coronavirus pandemic. This is a good example as first the staff worked hard and even risked their lives in helping others to cure from the disease and they have been appreciated by the Government of Bihar for their hard work for getting extra 50,000 rupees. From this example we understand that privileges and rewards come next to hard work.

When we work hard, we think that we deserve to get successful. But, there are certain rewards or privileges that require us to work harder than we did before. Especially, the students. Students want to achieve a lot of things, but they don’t want to work hard for it. Whilst looking for an opportunity, someone needs to work hard so that he can turn that opportunity into a privilege for him that gives him rewards.

When we see someone who is ahead of us we get jealous of that person. But when we see that we are ahead of someone else, then we discourage him and make fun of that person for being not as successful as we are. This is a very bad habit of ours as we need to understand that whether someone is successful or unsuccessful, it is to be dealt by that person. No one else will deal his problems or welcome his solutions. Neither anyone can nor anyone will. So, when we see someone who is in the worse condition than we are, instead of discouraging and making fun of that person, we can help him in whatever way we can. And if we can’t even help him, then we should never discourage that person, as some day might come that he/she can get in conditions better than we are and just like we made fun of him/her, he/she can also make fun or ours. When we encourage someone, he gets motivated to do more. And when someone gets motivated to do more, then what he can achieve is something beyond anyone’s imagination.

So this is how we can become a detective and find more and more opportunities and use them to gain more experience. Moreover, this experience can help us to teach others how to become more experienced and this experience that we learn will truly change our lives.
