Why a good environment is necessary to imply good results?

By reading the title, you might have probably guessed that today’s discussion is going to be about the environment. No it’s not just about the physical environment but also for the environment that student requires to become better.

To understand better, we will use examples that we often see around us. Imagine: you are sitting in a park in a beautiful morning, with cool breezes swaying past you and the sun slowly glowing. Sure, it is a beautiful time to be a part of. The birds start chirping, the winds breezing, the sun making the entire atmosphere brighter and brighter.

This environment is a good physical environment. Everybody loves this time to be a part of. This is the same thing that happens in a mental environment, everybody loves to be a part of.

There are many people who have such a uniqueness and exquisiteness in their communication skills that everyone just sits there, listening to what they are saying. This is what a good mental environment is like. Many motivational speakers, have this ability within themselves.

For a student, a good environment is mostly important because this environment is what shapes the point of view of the student. And, the environment of a student depends on the family, the teachers, and the friends of the student. Many students become impolite because they have been in an environment that has not taught the student how to interact properly. Many people scold the person by saying that their parents have not taught them anything, which is absolutely right.

A good environment for a student is a curious, inquisitive, creative, and a ready-to-learn environment. If even one of these criteria are missed, the student’s development will be questioned. A student should have someone to ask his questions, and appease his curiosity. A student should be creative enough to do something new that has never been seen in him ever so far in his/her life. A student must be inquisitive, pointing out and noticing even the smallest things. And lastly, a student much have a ready-to-learn mindset, which means that a student should never get bored of learning something new; and instead, anything new that he learns must amaze him and be “mind-blowing” to him.

These criteria have to be provided by the family, friends, and the teachers of the student. They must encourage students to ask more questions, they must encourage students to create more things, they must encourage and inspire students to be able to point out even at the smallest details. And, most importantly, they must teach him to always be ready to learn, and never stop asking questions.

If you look at people who have done something big in their lives, you will find that they have this kind of environment created within their mind. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, all of these people have one thing in common—they are always innovative, inquisitive, and investigative. If you want to be someone like them, then you need to always remember these three i’s—innovation, inquisitiveness, and investigation.

Innovation means that asking more and more questions about something and creating something is unique. Asking more and more questions will increase our knowledge and this increased knowledge will help us to create something useful.

Inquisitiveness means that having the ability to point out to the smallest details, as discussed before. If you look at lawyers/attorneys then you will see that they are experts at this skill. They analyze the smallest details to go in depth about something.

Investigation means that verifying something to be true. It is somewhat like theorisation—it allows us to believe in certain things after we know that they are right by experimentation.

So if you want to be a good student, or a good person overall, be in a good environment with good people. They will teach you how to become better than yourself, rather than worse than yourself.
